Happy New Year!

Several Items of Newsworthiness for Sister Cities:

The next France Committee meeting will be Saturday, January 5, at the home of Carol Webb, 2004 S. Terrace Dr. , 1:00-2:00 p.m.   Everyone is invited to attend.  For directions, call Carol at 682-7420.  The items of discussion will be:

• Entre Nous:  Dinner/Movie event scheduled for Tuesday, April 1
• Student exchanges for the Summer of 2008
• Fontaine des Jumelages (artist's rendition for Wichita of the "Sister Cities fountain project" in Orleans
• Official visit in May
• Group trip to Orleans, September 2009
• Annual Meeting (scheduled for February 1)

The next WASC Board Meeting will be January 22, at City Hall, in the City Council Conference Room at 5:00 p.m.

The 2008 Annual Meeting for the Wichita Area Sister Cities will be Friday, February 1, at the Cowtown Visitors Center.  Invitations will be forthcoming in the next few days. 

The China Committee's annual celebration of Lunar New Year is tentatively scheduled for February 16 at Tom's Lotus Garden.  Invitations will be forthcoming in the next few days.
